Work is now underway to fit out the new Loungers Bar and Restaurant at Mann Island.

Brasco Lounge is due to open in November this year, ready for Christmas parties and festive gatherings. The 2,900 sq ft restaurant is part of the national Loungers chain with 25 restaurants already open around the country, although Brasco Lounge is the first to open in the North of England.

Steve Parry, Managing Director of Neptune Developments, the company behind Mann Island, said: “The Open Eye Gallery and Starbucks are already proving to be a big draw at Mann Island and have enjoyed an excellent summer.

“Brasco Lounge marks the next phase of Mann Island with a restaurant offer extending the activity into the evening. As the work on the rest of the development moves towards completion, we are expecting a busy time of fit-outs and we will have more announcements in the coming weeks and months.”

Loungers managing director Alex Reilley has already stated that the North West region is a big target area for them with over a dozen sites earmarked in Liverpool, Manchester and beyond, and they have already signed to open another Loungers in Neptune’s Marine Point development in New Brighton.

The Lounge brand is described by the Bristol-based company as ‘informal, neighbourhood food-led café/bars, open all day where families, friends and locals can come for a coffee, a drink or something to eat in a relaxed comfortable environment.’ The menu features a wide range of dishes, including burgers, tapas and an extensive range of coffee/tea, cakes and pastries, smoothies and fresh juice. They are also licenced and serve a small selection of wines, draught beers and cocktails. For more information, visit
